Technical Assistance
Working Solutions provides free technical assistance (one-on-one help) to applicants before and during the loan application process. Our borrowers have access to 5 years of free technical assistance.
Before and During the Loan Application Process
This assistance includes:
- Guidance putting together a loan application and completing the various forms
- Assistance with resources for business planning
- Assistance with putting together financial projections
- Help understanding personal credit
- Referrals to other free and low-cost business resources in the community
Post-Loan Technical Assistance
One of the benefits of being a Working Solutions borrower is that our borrowers receive 5 years of business coaching, advising, education, and mentoring at no cost during the term of their loan. This includes:
- Access to mentors
- Education about tracking financial information and understanding financial statements
- Discussion of the businesses' financial statements
- Coaching around business strategy
- Coaching around marketing stategy
- Coaching on how to graduate to a bank loan or receive larger loans from other financial institutions
- Help understanding and improving personal credit
- Ongoing referrals for other free and low-cost local business resources
- Access to a 3-hour private consulting session with a team of 4 volunteer corporate attorneys tp review the legal health of the business and get small businesses' legal questions answered.
- Access to opportunities to promote their business and sell their product/services through Working Solutions' professional network and to sell at Working Solutions' Annual Gift Fair in December.
- Opportunities to meet and share ideas with other like-minded entrepreneurs.
